Patrick Burgwinkle is a Vice President at Dezenhall Resources, where he specializes is public affairs and advocacy, media relations and training, and strategic communication.
Burgwinkle has over a decade of experience in democratic electoral politics and has worked in battleground states across the country for fiercely contested House, Senate, Gubernatorial and Presidential races. He got his start in communications at the Democratic National Committee during President Obama’s reelection campaign in 2012.
In 2022 Burgwinkle worked for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee as a Senior Communications Strategist when the party protected and expanded its Senate majority. In 2018, he served as Deputy Communications Director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, where he helped flip 40 seats from red to blue and deliver control of the House to Democrats for the first time since 2010. In 2016 he served as press secretary for Hillary Clinton’s Iowa Caucus campaign and went on to serve as a Regional Communications Director during the general election.
Burgwinkle is originally from Massachusetts and lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two rescue beagles. He is a long-suffering D.C. United and Tottenham Hotspur fan. His favorite distractions from soccer are Formula 1, bass fishing and the Blue Ridge mountains.
