Vice President

Dezenhall Resources, Ltd. is looking for a full-time Vice President (in Washington, DC or remote) to join our dynamic and growing team. Key Responsibilities

Vice Presidents at Dezenhall play a crucial role in developing and executing unique communications and advocacy strategies that achieve winning outcomes for our clients.

Client Strategy & Engagement
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Providing strategic leadership and high-level counsel
  • Ensuring all work produced by account teams exceeds client expectations and meets engagement objectives
  • Managing acute catalysts such as investigations and product recalls
  • Conceptualizing and implementing complex issue campaigns (local, state, federal, international)
  • Continuously cultivating and maintaining strong media and third-party/advocacy relationships inside and outside of the Beltway
  • Effectively managing every aspect of client accounts – deliverables, project timelines and budgets
  • Writing effective and compelling client and third-party deliverables, including messaging documents, narratives, opinion editorials, white papers, memos, creative copy, and more
Business Development
  • Preparing new business proposals and participating in potential client pitches and presentations
  • Helping the Dezenhall team to identify and cultivate new client relationships
Team Leadership
  • Working with Partners to build account teams
  • Lead internal client teams and mentoring staff
  • Onboarding new hires and clients


  • 8 – 15 years of professional experience in political, communications, public affairs or advocacy roles working on political campaigns with elected officials, grassroots organizations, digital media firms, corporate communications teams or public affairs firms.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment while maintaining thorough attention to detail
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to distill complicated concepts into digestible plans, messaging and other work product
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage clients with varying priorities independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-stakes environment
  • Has a firm grasp on the ever-changing media and political landscape and strong interest in current events and news/communications trends
  • Ability to travel as needed
